Hello Kitty at Paris Fashion Week

On the 3rd October, Hello Kitty, My Melody and Little Twin Stars made their catwalk debut as part of Olympia Le Tan’s Spring / Summer 2016 show, entitled ‘A Sentimental Journey’.

Well-loved by A-Listers, the designer is known for taking classic book covers and transforming them into must-have accessories. Her witty pieces are beautifully hand-embroidered, sure to turn heads.

As part of the celebrations for Little Twin Stars and My Melody’s 40th anniversaries, Olympia transformed retro Sanrio products into gorgeous clutches, handbags and ready to wear clothing. Vogue described these as ‘cuteness o’ clock’! The collaboration includes bags shaped like lunch boxes and milk cartons. The Hello Kitty-emblazoned book clutches even open backwards, as if they were Japanese manga – a very original touch.

With 40 pieces in total featuring our characters, the collection will be available to buy from early 2016. We can’t wait to get our hands on it!
