HELLO KITTY BRINGS A BIRTHDAY PRESENT TO FANS ON LONDON’S SOUTHBANK

It’s been 45 years since Hello Kitty was created! To celebrate, Sanrio took over iconic city locations around Europe with the cuddliest immersive experience of the year. First stop: London.

Throughout the day, Hello Kitty herself appeared to share her birthday celebrations! Visitors were able to take the ultimate selfie and meet our favourite girl.

Hello Kitty’s birthday has been celebrated in other cities after London: in Milan, Berlin and pop-ups at the iconic Galeries Lafayette Haussmann and Champs-Élysées department stores in Paris. 

Since she first appeared on a vinyl coin purse in 1974, Hello Kitty has been a symbol of happiness, kindness and friendship. Her 45^th Anniversary unites people around the world to emulate her motto:
